Common Sense Security Newsletters
The Newsletter is sent out about every two weeks, and is posted on my
blog when it is sent out to subscribers.
I try to cover the most recent security alerts without using all of the techno jargon that so many alerts and web sites use. I don't think that it is necessary to know that a buffer overflow or cross-site scripting attack is the basis behind the threat - it is more important to know what to look out for and how to protect your system. If you ever have questions or comments about the content, please don’t hesitate to send me an e-mail.
The newsletter is a double opt-in subscription, which is a fancy way of saying that you have to send me two e-mails – one asking to be subscribed and one confirming that you want to be subscribed. If you do not reply to the confirmation message I send to you, you will not be added to my mailing list. If you need to change your e-mail addresss or decide to unsubscribe, that is as easy as sending me an e-mail, and the instructions are on the bottom of every newsletter.
I do all of my list management by hand so there is a potential delay between the time you ask to subscribe and the time you get my request to confirm your subscription. Don't worry, I will get back to you as soon as I can!
If you prefer to get the Newsletter through RSS you can use your favorite RSS reader to subscribe through the
blog.
I will not share your e-mail address with anyone, nor will I sell it or otherwise pass it along. I will not send you any messages that are not directly related to computer security, and even though I will recommend various products I do not have any affiliation with the vendors and do not get any money for recommending them.
If you wnat to subscribe just click the link on the right, and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I look forward to having you join the list!
